Safeguarding

BOA Digital Technologies is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students. We believe that a safe and supportive environment is essential for effective learning, and all staff have a responsibility to ensure the well-being and protection of every child in our care. Safeguarding and child protection are at the heart of everything we do, and we recognise that it is a shared responsibility across our academy community.

Safeguarding children - the action we take to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm is everyone's responsibility.

pastoral care

At BOA, we have a dedicated team of staff who support student wellbeing and ensure every young person feels safe, listened to, and cared for.

Mr Hardwick and Mr O’Brien are the members of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for pastoral care. They are both Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs), meaning they are trained and authorised to respond to any concerns about student safety or wellbeing.

Alongside them, Mr Carter (KS3 Pastoral Manager) and Miss Russon (KS4 Pastoral Manager) play a key role in supporting students day‑to‑day. They are both Deputy DSLs, ensuring that students across all year groups always have someone they can speak to if they need help, guidance, or reassurance.

Your Form Tutor is the key person responsible with your welfare, guidance and academic progress. You will see a tutor for 1 hour Personal Development lesson each week, plus you will see them for Form Time every day.
